John Albert Garner, 25, is charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault and is being held without bail, prosecutors wrote in a release.
Price, 29, was found dead at his 314 N. 16th Street home last July 9, Daily Voice reported. The Coroner's Office called his death a homicide and said he died from blunt-force head injuries.
On Thursday, prosecutors said Price was discovered by someone who had not heard from him in several days and stopped by the house to check in.
Investigators believe Garner fatally attacked Price but the affidavit of probable cause will remain sealed for 60 days, the DA's Office said.
Allentown police and Lehigh County detectives investigated the case, they added.
